An Old Voice

Hi, I am Stuart ‘Smudge’ Smith and I am a kidney transplant patient, at a different stage of my life. Just your typical working-class bloke, who sees the fun side of life, after going through so much. I still have a lot of fun with my voices and impressions, but it’s really just a fun hobby now, which helps me to stay creative and help with my mental health. I also use my lived experience to help other patients, as well as with mental health.

Stuart Smudge Design

Stuart Smudge Design is an idea I had about 10 years ago. I saw that QR codes could add a new dimension to a greeting card. The logo is actually based on the scan box when we scan a QR code. Back then no one really knew about QR codes and many were worried about links. Then during covid, QR codes were used widely and 3 years ago, I decided to take another look at the idea. Having already voiced Birthday cards in the past, it made sense to use a QR code. Some of my cards have my impressions inside. Its a way to still use my voices and earn a passage income, to help pay for subscriptions and the like. Find out more about my cards.
